Hanna Wilkins Died at Sioux City

Mrs. Hanna Wilkins, widow of the late Chauncey Wilkins, died at a Sioux City, Iowa hospital Monday, November 16th after a lingering illness. She had been living in Sioux City at 614 Court Street.

Johanna Catherine Wilkins was born at Blair, June 2, 1894 and was 70 years of age at the time of her death. She grew to womanhood in this county and was married to Chauncey Wilkins, also of this area on April 29, 1916. The couple engaged in farming in Washington County all of their active life. Mr. Wilkins died on May 12, 1951.

Mrs. Wilkins is survived by two sons and three daughters, all of whom are living in or near this area. Sidney Wilkins lives in Fontanelle; and Eugene Wilkins lives at Blair. A daughter, Marjorie Wilkins, lives at Sioux City. The other daughters are Mrs. LeRoy Kuhr, (Jane) of Blair and Mrs. William Kopocis, (Doris) of Omaha. A son, Donald, passed away on May 11, 1945.

A sister, Mrs. Louise Funk, who resides in Freeland, Michigan is also a survivor.

Funeral services are being held this (Thursday) afternoon at the Campbell Mortuary at 2 P.M. The Rev. Gail Dunning of the First Christian Church will conduct the service and burial will be made in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary.

Pall Bearers will be Lauren Biffar, William Peck, Bob Wilkins, Rolland Wilkins, Jack H. Peterson and Frank Wilkins.
