MRS. ADOLPH FRAHM

Chistene Henrietta, wife of Adolph Frahm, passed away Monday evening, March 20, at her home south of Calhoun, following a week’s illness of influenza and pneumonia.

The deceased was born at Bobeck, Schleswig, May 17, 1854, and resided many years in the vicinity of Calhoun. Besides her husband she is survived by two children, Emma and Henry, living at home, and two sisters, Mrs. Haack of Manning, Iowa, and Mrs. Kraack, residing in Germany. Another sister, Mrs. Martin Brandt for many years a resident of Calhoun, preceded her in death but a few days, passing away the 3rd of this month. Besides the relatives, the loss of Mrs. Frahm is mourned by a large circle of friends who will greatly miss her as a kind and helpful neighbor.

The funeral services, held in the Presbyterian church Wednesday afternoon, and conducted by Rev. Frank, were largely attended. Burial was made in the Ft. Calhoun cemetery.

Adolph Frahm’s wife, Christine Henrietta, died March 20, 1922, and was buried in the Ft. Calhoun, Nebr. cemetery. She had lived here a good many years and was a sister of Mrs. Martin Brandt, who died recently. She was born May 17, 1854 at Robeck, Schleswig, Germany, and leaves a sister in Germany, a Mrs. Kraach, and a sister in Iowa, a Mrs. Haak, her husband Adolph Frahm and two children, Emma and Henry, at home. There was a large attendance at the Presbyterian church where Pastor Frank officiated. Mrs. Charles Rathjen, Mrs. Joe Bolln and Miss Grace Neale sang the anthems and the three Kay brothers, Hans, William and Carl, and Henry Ohrt, Henry Koepke and David Miller were pallbearers. There were many beautiful flowers and her neighbors tell us she was a noble wife and mother.
