WILLIAM KATT, 82, OF FREMONT, DIED EARLY WEDNESDAY

William Katt, a long-time resident of Washington County, died at the Dodge County Hospital in Fremont Wednesday morning. He was 82 years old. Mr. Katt was a well known farmer of the county and he continued in this work until his retirement 17 years ago. At that time he and Mrs. Katt moved to Blair where they lived three years and then moved to Fremont. He has lived in Fremont 14 years at 1651 Parkview.

Mr. Katt was born in Germany December 6, 1887. He came to the United States with his parents at the age of 10 and settled in Washington County where he devoted his life to farming.

On April 11, 1916 he was married to Minnie Bolling. She preceded him in death sixteen years later on April 23, 1932. On March 14, 1953 he was married to Lena Bolling, a sister of his first wife.

He is survived by his wife, Lena and by a daughter, Mrs. Walter Hoegemeier, of Herman and a son, Wilbert Katt of San Bernardino, California. There are five grandchildren also surviving. A sister and four brothers preceded him in death.

Funeral services are pending as The Enterprise goes to press. The Lattin-Dugan-Chambers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
