Steven R. Wilkins, 50

Services for Steven R. Wilkins, 50 of North Platte, Nebraska, who died February 19, 1996 will be 2 p.m. Thursday, February 22 at First United Methodist Church in Blair. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Steven R. Wilkins was born November 26, 1945 in Omaha to Roland and Betty Compton Wilkins. He graduated from Blair High School and the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

He was a resident of North Platte for the last 17 years. He had worked for Firestone for 23 years and was assistant manager of Firestone Tire in North Platte at the time of his death.

He was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, serving in the Navy.

He was a life member of the Blair Veterans of Foreign War Post.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Betty and Roy Sieckmeyer, Blair; step-mother, Virginia Wilkins, Kennard, sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth and George Frost, Omaha and Ardith and Jerry Scheer, Fremont; step-brothers, Doug Sieckmeyer, Blair and Mike Sieckmeyer, Phoenix; a step-sister, Jennifer Jewett, Kennard; three nieces; one nephew; a great-nephew and a great-neice.

Memorials may be directed to the Heart Fund or Cancer Society.
