Max Klotz, a prominent farmer living south of Kennard, died last Saturday as the result of an attack of a crazed steer. He had bought a carload of feeders and this particular animal appeared to be sick so he was trying to turn it from the yard into the pasture when it attacked him, striking him in the breast. He died in less than an hour.

The funeral services were held Monday at the home and interment made in the Kennard cemetery. He leaves a wife and several children.
