John Jacob Vogt, Jr., Burial Is Today

John Jacob Vogt, Jr., died Monday, February 27th, at the Memorial Community Hospital in Blair, where he had been confined from the past 8 months.

He was born November 2, 1890, to Mr. and Mrs. Johann Vogt. Following his marriage to Louise Martamm on March 22, 1916, they lived on the same farm near Kennard for the last 51 years. He retired in 1957.

Survivors are his wife, Louise, 3 daughters, Mrs. Virginia Suhr of Oakland, Nebraska, Mrs. Vera Belle Villwok of Omaha, and Wanda Lou Vogt of Kennard; and a son, Duane J. Vogt, also of Kennard. There are 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Other survivors are a sister, Mrs. Chris Jahnel of Blair; and 2 brothers, Hans Vogt of Kennard, and Arthur, died in infancy.

Funeral services will be at the Grace Methodist Church in Kennard. The Rev. Elvin Bratten will officiate. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery with the Campbell Mortuary in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be John Van Deusen, Paul Wulf, George Japp, Lloyd Nielsen, Peter Stricklett and Hans Mencke.
