Funeral services for Fritz William Japp, 77, were held Saturday, Nov. 17, at the Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard. Pastor Russell Saltzmann officiated, with organist Dave Collins and vocalist Dennis Paulsen. Burial was at Kennard Cemetery.

Fritz was born in Kennard May 31, 1907, to William and Dora (Harder) Japp. He married Alma Wrich, who survives. Other survivors are sons; Richard Japp of Washington, Merle Japp of Titusville, Florida and Bill Japp of Kennard, daughters, Mrs. William (Darlene) Harper of Kennard, and Mrs. Jack (Joann) Lorenzen of Lincoln, brother, Walter Japp of Kennard and sister, Mrs. Paul (Christine) Wulf of Blair, 19 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Scott Japp, Lonny Japp, Steve Harper, Bruce Harper, Richard Lorenzen, Randy Lorenzen, Michael Japp and Reid Japp.
