Louie Voss

Services for Louie Voss, 94, who died June 6, 1986, at the Blair Memorial Community Hospital were held Monday, June 9, 2 p.m., at the Campbell Funeral Home. The Rev. Norman Shroeder officiated and burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Voss was born July 10, 1891, the son of George and Margaret Voss of Blair. He married Belva Wulf and was a farmer.

Prior to his death he lived at Crowell Home in Blair.

Funeral services were held at the Campbell Funeral Home in Blair for Louie Voss on Monday, June 9, at 2 p.m. Voss, 94, died June 6, 1986. Dr. Norman Schroeder officiated at the funeral.

Casket bearers were Elmer, George, Howard and LeRoy Voss, Herb Wendt and Arnold Wiese.

Dave Carlsen sang “How Great Thou Art” and “In the Garden”. Interment was in the Blair Cemetery, Blair. Clare Cowing was the organist.

Voss, son of George and Margaret Soll Voss, was born July 10, 1891, at Blair. He grew up in the Blair area and attended school in Washington County. He was baptized in the Christian faith December 6, 1891.

On August 14, 1912 he married Belva Wulf. Voss spent most of his life on the farm faithfully doing his work. He also was a carpenter. In 1956, he moved to Blair and since 1973 had been a resident at the Crowell Home.

He was preceded in death by his wife Belva, who died in 1970; by three brothers – George, Ferdinand, and Charles; two sisters – Bertha Wendt and Theresa Wiese.

His survivors include son Glen of Kelliner, Minnesota; and four grandchildren – Myrna, Gloria, Shirley and Myron, all of Minneapolis, Minnesota; many nieces, nephews and many friends.
