Marie C. Voss, 82, of Blair, died Thursday, Feb. 4, 1999, at the Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Services were Monday, Feb. 8, at First Lutheran Church in Blair.

Burial was in the German Cemetery.

Marie C. Voss was born Dec. 16, 1916, in Fort Calhoun, to Emil and Annie (Morthouse) Rathjen.

She married Clarence Voss on April 19, 1939, in Omaha.

The coupled farmed in the Fort Calhoun area.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bennington, where she was baptized and confirmed. After moving to Blair, she joined First Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her sister, Lucille Knag of Fort Calhoun; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Maxine and Louis Nielsen of Kennard; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Clarence and Viola Schneekloth of Fremont, sister-in-law, Ann Knutzen of LaVista, sister-in-law, Irene Schmidt of Bennington, brother-in-law, Victor Enger of Blair, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence Voss; and two brothers and one sister.

Memorials are suggested to the German Cemetery, Crowell Home of First Lutheran Church.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
