CLAUS SCHNEIDER, 88, SUCCUMBS

Claus P.C. Schneider, Sr., 88, died Tuesday, June 21st at his home south of Blair. He had been bedfast for the past week.

Mr. Schneider was born May 12, 1867 and has been a resident of Washington County all his life. In 1893 he was united in marriage to Magelina Kneip and she passed away the following year. In 1895 he married Christina Mohr who died in 1938.

He is survived by six children: Carl and Claus Schneider of Kennard, Mrs. George Wrich (Lillie), Mrs. Ervin Mueller (Kathryn), Mrs. Darrell Ladwig (Margaret), and Paul Schneider, all of Blair. There are also 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Campbell Mortuary with Rev. Melvon Ireland officiating. Burial will be in the German Cemetery south of Blair.

Pall bearers will be six grandsons, George Mencke, Raymond and Arlen Schneider, Melvin Wrich, George Pinke and Francis McAllister.
