Elmer Luther Williams, 84, of Tekamah, died on Monday evening, Jan. 2, 1989 at the Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Elmer was born on June 5, 1904 at Hartington, Ne. to Charles M. and Sarah Williams. He was united in marriage to Grace Lulbonnia Lipps on March 17, 1928 at Breckenridge, Mn.

Elmer was a resident of Tekamah for the last several years, where he worked for his brother, Art Williams, in the Custom Corn Shelling business.

Mrs. Williams passed away on Oct. 21, 1978. Elmer moved to the Tekamah Nursing Center in the fall of 1985.

Survivors include three daughters, Marlys Brown and Barbara Sklenar, both of Tekamah, and Violet Houge of Fergus Falls, Mn.; three sons, Elmer (Jr.) Williams of Albuquerque, N.M., Donald Williams of Norfolk, and Arthur E. (Rusty) Williams of Omaha; 12 grand children and 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Elmer was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother (Art Williams of Tekamah) and one sister (Bell Schake of Cloque, Mn.)

Graveside funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 5, 1989 at the Tekamah Cemetery with the Rev. Marion H. Knoell officiating.

Arrangements were handled by the Hamel & Peck Funeral Home in Tekamah.
