J. W. Williby Died Friday

Funeral Service Held Monday At Methodist Church

Funeral services were held today (Monday) for James W. Williby 77 years of age, 1163 Grant Street, who died Friday at Memorial Community Hospital.

The services were held at First Methodist Church, the Rev. Dale Westadt officiating, with interment in the Blair Cemetery.

Mr. Williby is survived by his wife, Bertha; sons, Jim, Lyle and Bill Williby, all of Blair; daughters, Mrs. Charles Dixson (Marveline) of Portland, Oregon; Mrs. Harold Hibbs (Alice), Mrs. Harold Smith (Delores) and Mrs. Jack Backman (Lois), all of Blair; 23 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mr. Williby was born Feb. 14, 1886 at Chariton, Iowa, the son of Jesse and Ada Williby. He was married to Bertha C. Nielsen of Omaha Dec. 22, 1908. Three children preceded him in death.

Mr. and Mrs. Williby moved to Blair in 1941 from Royal, Nebr.

Pallbearers were Emmett Rounds, Ernie Bohs, John Everhart, Junior Porter, George Sheets, Sr. and Ted Jarosz.

The Bendorf Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
