Herbert W. Willison, 87

Graveside services were held Saturday, July 29, at the Arlington Cemetery in Arlington, Nebraska for Herbert W. Willison of Arlington who died July 27, 1989 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Omaha. Rev. Robert Saunders of the Arlington Community Church officiated. Arlington’s V.F.W. Post No. 8332 and American Legion Post No. 71 folded and presented the United States flag.

Herbert W. Willison was born February 7, 1902 at Fremont. He lived east of Fremont all his life.

As a young man he farmed. He worked at Marshall Nursery for 26 years, retiring in 1962.

He served in the United States Army Air Corp during World War II. He was a member of the Arlington Community Church at Arlington.

He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Hazel Mae Brown of Cortez, Colorado; and a cousin, Lillian Thompson of Valley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Clara Trowbridge Willison; a brother, G. Thomas Willison; and a sister, Myrtle Keller.

Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for the services.
