Phyllis J. Jacobs, 79

Phyllis J. Jacobs, 79, of Arlington, died Monday, January 14, 2013, at Nye Legacy in Fremont.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 18 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Arlington Cemetery.

Phyllis J. Kassebaum was born Feb. 22, 1933, in Arlington to Clarence and Viola(Hilgenkamp) Kassebaum. She grew up in Arlington and was a 1951 graduate of Arlington High School.

On October 11, 1956, she married Eugene Jacobs in Fremont. The couple lived in Fremont until returning to Arlington.

She had been employed at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County in Fremont in the patient accounts department until retiring in 1982.

She belonged to a bowling league. She enjoyed spending time with her family and babysitting her grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Eugene; sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Shawn Jacobs of Fremont, Jerry and Sharon Jacobs of Arlington and Mick and Mary Jacobs of Fremont; daughters and sons-in-law, Jody and Pat Matthews and Vicky Jacobs, all of Arlington, and Sandy Tedrow of Fremont; 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
