DARLEEN SACKETT, 82

Herman native Darleen Sackett, 82, of Omaha, died Thursday, April 7, 2005, at the Parson House in Omaha.

Visitation begins at 11 a.m. Friday, April 8, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 9, at First Lutheran Church in Blair, with interment in the Herman Cemetery.

Darleen Sackett was born Feb. 28, 1923, at Herman to Thorvald and Julia (Christiansen) Petersen. She graduated from Herman High School. She worked for the G.L. Dixon Insurance Company and for Alegent Health, retiring in January 2005.

She is survived by her son, Calvin Sackett of Harrisonville, Mo., six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Janice Johnson of Phoenix, Ariz., and Phyllis Stricklett of Blair; and a brother, T. Richard Petersen of Herman.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jane Eppley.
