FORMER BLAIR LADY DIED IN KANSAS

Mrs. Paul Salchow of Overland Park, Kansas, (the former Ruth Patricia “Patty” Beck of Fremont) died on Tuesday, May 29, in St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, of Hodgkins Disease after a long illness.

Mrs. Salchow, the daughter of Marcus and Agnes Beck of Fremont, was born on October 21, 1935 in Blair. She was graduated from Fremont High School in 1953 and then attended Dana College.

Mrs. Salchow taught school in Fremont and North Platte before her marriage in 1958 to Mr. Paul Salchow of North Platte. The Salchows have lived in Overland Park for the past seventeen years.

She is survived by her husband, Paul; by her children, Paul 15, Peter 14 and Anne 12; by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marcus Beck of Fremont; and by her brothers, Mark of Columbia, Missouri, and John of Blair, Nebraska.

The funeral will take place on Thursday in Bethany Lutheran Church, Overland Park, Kansas, where they Salchows are long-time members.
