GLEN R. SALSBURY, 78

Glen R. Salsbury, 78, of Blair, died Sunday, March 15, 2009, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 19, at the Blair Cemetery.

No visitation will be held.

Glen Richard “Mike” Salsbury was born Nov. 16, 1930, in Blair, to Glen W. and Minerva (Daniels) Salsbury.

On Jan. 17, 1952, he married Carla Mae Hindley in Tekamah.

Mr. Salsbury worked in the maintenance department at Valmont industries for 29 years. He also had worked for the City of Blair and Kelly Ryan Equipment. He had also farmed, did dirt work, tree work, laid pipe and did custom haying.

He is survived by his wife, Carla Mae; son, Patrick of Blair; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sheila and Ted Jeary of Seattle, Wash.; Bonnie and Terry Lang of Blair; and Betty and Audie Taylor of Curtis; grandchildren, Kelsey Avila, Kyna Engelhart, Tonya Hansen, and Jessie Haynie; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy and Marv Wrich; Babe and Floyd Craig; and Jeri Moore; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Ellen Salsbury; and sisters, Rachel Craig and Cori Metzler.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
