Clyde Nelsen, 94

Clyde Nelsen, 94, of Blair died Friday, April 10, 1998, at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Kennard Cemetery.

Mr. Nelsen was born Dec. 27, 1903 at Kennard to George H. and Myrtle (Wright) Nelsen. He attended school in Washington and Kennard. He drove truck for Elmer Wright, prior to attending auctioneering school in Indiana. He was an auctioneer for a number of years, and then moved to Michigan where he worked for a car dealer. He later moved to Iowa and worked for Moran Construction Company. In August of 1929, he married Mae A. Carlson at Fontanelle, Iowa. They moved to Blair where he owned and operated the Skelly Oil Station. After the sale of the station, he operated a feed store.

Survivors are his sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Barbara Nelsen, Mesa, Ariz.; Clyce J. and Wanda Nelsen, Fort Calhoun; and Rev. Ronald and Corrine Nelsen, Keokuk, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Leola Jensen and Mildred (Mrs. Harry) Paulsen, both of Blair.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife and one sister, Vera Johnson.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
