STRICKEN WHILE AT MOVIES, DIES

Stricken with a heart attack Sunday evening while attending the Avenue theater in Omaha, Charles E. Saltzman, 30, of Omaha, formerly of the Fort Calhoun vicinity, died a short time later at Nicholas Senn hospital.

He was a clerk in the freight accounting department on the Union Pacific railroad. Surviving are his wife, Louise; a daughter, Betty Jean, Omaha; his mother, Mrs. Camille Saltzman of Fort Calhoun; and a brother, Austin Saltzman, Fort Calhoun.

Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon in Omaha, burial following in Fort Calhoun cemetery.

EDWARD SALTZMAN

The Ft. Calhoun friends of Edward Saltzman were shocked to hear of his sudden death, which occurred in an Omaha motion picture theatre Sunday evening. With his wife he was attending the show, and without warning he was stricken with a heart attack, death being instantaneous. He was born east of Ft. Calhoun on February 16, 1907, and lived in this vicinity with his parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Camille Saltzman, until his marriage, eleven years ago. He attended the Ft. Calhoun schools, and was popular with schoolmates who remember him as a good student of excellent habits. After finishing school he entered the employ of the Union Pacific Ry., in which position he remained until his death. He is survived by his wife and little daughter of Omaha; his mother, Mrs. Camille Saltzman; his brother, Austin, and his uncle, George Saltzman, all of Ft. Calhoun. The sincere sympathy of this community goes out to the bereaved ones in their great sorrow.

A brief service was held in the Ft. Calhoun Presbyterian church yesterday afternoon following the one held in an Omaha mortuary. Burial was in the Ft. Calhoun cemetery.

EDWARD SALTMAN DEAD (name should be Saltzman)

A brief funeral service was held at the Presbyterian church Wednesday afternoon, September 21, following the one held in Omaha for Edward Saltzman who passed away at an Omaha hospital last Sunday night. He was born on a farm east of Fort Calhoun on February 16, 1907, and was 31 years old at the time of his death. Edward attended the Fort Calhoun schools and after finishing the school, he entered the employ of the Union Pacific Railway in Omaha, in which position he remained until his death. He was married eleven years ago, and leaves a wife, Louise, and daughter, Betty Jean, and his mother, Mrs. Camille Saltzman, one brother, Austin and one uncle, George Saltzman. His body was laid to rest beside his father, the late Camille Saltzman, in the Fort Calhoun cemetery.
