Hugh Ailes Died Monday

Body Was Brought Here and Funeral Held at Baptist Church This Afternoon

H. B. Ailes was born in Franklin county, Indiana, October 22, 1866, the son of Amos and Aline Ailes, pioneers of Indiana.

He came with his parents to Blair, Neb., in 1888 and was married to Miss Nellie G. Kline, daughter of L. M. Kline, at Blair, April 24, 1895.

To this union five children were born. Two, Grant and Ruth, died in infancy.

The family moved to Herman, Neb., where they resided until they moved to University Place, Nebraska, in 1912. Mr. Ailes here took up the carpenter trade, and was with the Burlington railroad for four years, when failing health made it impossible to continue in that work. For two years he was marshall of University Place.

After several years of ill health, death took him Monday, January 30, 1928, aged 61 years, 3 months and 8 days, at his home in University Place.

Surviving him are his wife, three children, Mrs. Roy Taylor, of Kansas City, Mo., Raymond B. Ailes, of Lincoln, Neb., and Pierre Eugene, of Oakland, Calif., four sisters and one brother of Fowlerton, Indiana.

The body was brought here and the funeral service held at the Baptist church by Rev. Carl G. Bader at 2 o’clock this afternoon. Interment was in the Cuming City Cemetery.
