Elsie Wilson

Services for Elsie M. Wilson, 81, who died November 24, 1986 at the Crowell Memorial Home, were held Wednesday, November 26 at the Methodist Church in Herman.

Miss Wilson was born November 10, 1905, the daughter of Edward and Christina Wilson and lived her entire life in Washington County. Miss Wilson taught school for many years and retired in 1971 after teaching for 44 years - 37 in numerous Washington County schools and her last seven years in the Tekamah-Herman School system.

Miss Wilson was a long time member of the Herman Federated Baptist Church and the Baptist Guild. She was Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star of which she was a member for 61 years.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors include her sister, Mrs. Howard (Harriet) Laughlin of Herman; niece, Mrs. Keith (Pat) Andersen, also of Herman; and nephew, Keith Wachter of Omaha.

Pastor Larry Orvis officiated at the 2 p.m. services. Pallbearers were Robert Brodersen, Joe Cameron, Terry Cameron, Lyle Hindley, Cameron Jackson and Lyle Thielfoldt.

Grace Husk was the organist and accompanied singer Kermit Goll.

Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Burial followed at the Herman Cemetery.
