Eva Neoma Kaer Wilson, 90

Eva Neoma Kaer Wilson, 90, of Blair, died Oct. 31, 1999, in Omaha.

Services were Wednesday, Nov. 3, at Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun. Burial was in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Eva Neoma Kaer Wilson was born Feb. 26, 1909, in Omaha. She was raised near Nashville and lived in Detroit, Mich. until moving to Blair where she lived from 1972 to 1977. She then lived on the Hans Kaer farm outside of Blair until 1995 when she moved to an apartment in Blair.

Kaer was a member of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary. She worked as a switchboard operator and clerk. She was also a seamstress, and she enjoyed card games. She also spent time preserving her family’s history and recording and archiving family reunions.

She is survived by two sisters, Marie Thomas of Fort Calhoun and Myrtle Patterson of Omaha; one brother, Olaf Kaer; sister-in-law Helen Arlene Kaer of Blair; and by special friend Genevieve Szawicki of Fort Calhoun.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Clara Wiese; and on brother, Hans Kaer.

Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun was in charge of arrangements.
