Harvey E. Wilson, 96

Former Blair resident Harvey E. Wilson, 96, of Gretna, died Thursday, May 27, 2004, at the Methodist Hospice House in Omaha.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 1, at St Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair, with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery in Blair. Rosary will be said at 6 p.m. Monday at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair.

Harvey E. Wilson was born Feb. 23, 1908, in Missouri Valley, Iowa, to Francis T. and Nellie (Crispin) Wilson.

On Aug. 12, 1927, he married Clara Skelton.

He farmed in the Blair area until retiring in 1973, when he moved to Omaha and worked as a security officer for Vickers, was maintenance man on the Mormon Bridge, and worked on the toll house. After retirement from the bridge, he spent many hours as a volunteer worker for Immanuel Hospital.

He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Pat and Gary Paulsen of Omaha, Georgia and Duane Pokorney of Viborg, S.D., Sandra and Duane Anderson of Lake Havasu, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren and their families; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara; a sister, Florence Young, and a brother, Richard Wilson.

SERVICES 10 am Mon., with ROSARY 6 pm, at the Funeral Home.
