Inez E. Wilson, 90

Funeral services for Inez E. Wilson, 90, of Fort Calhoun, were held Friday, July 27, 2001, at the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Gregg Miller officiating. Interment was at Fort Calhoun Cemetery. Mrs. Wilson died July 25 at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha.

Inez Elizabeth (Smith) Wilson was born Aug. 21, 1910, in California Junction, Iowa to Joseph E. and Jennie (Flint) Smith.

She grew up in California Junction and graduated from Missouri Valley High School.

On June 1, 1929, she married Richard C. Wilson in Missouri Valley, Iowa.

Mrs. Wilson’s main vocation was as a wife and mother. She worked for 16 years at Wilkinson Manufacturing in Fort Calhoun. She was a member of Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church for about 45 years, where she served as a deacon, and was a 50-year member of Chapter 121 Order of Eastern Star, Fort Calhoun.

She enjoyed going to clubs, quilting, crocheting, gardening and baking. She will be most remembered for being a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

Mrs. Wilson is survived by four children and their spouses, Richard C. Jr and Sue Wilson, George E. and Virg Wilson, Thomas E. and Janeane, and Linda M. and David Doinsky, nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, and a sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Larry Hardin.
