MARIE SAMUELSON

ARLINGTON - - The funeral for Marie N. Samuelson, 81, of Arlington, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, at the Arlington Community Church.

Mrs. Samuelson died Friday, March 15, 1991, at Merrick Manor in Fremont.

Marie Stewart was born March 3, 1910, in Charleston, Ill. She moved to Fontanelle in 1913, and in 1924 moved to Wahoo. She was a graduate of Wahoo High School. She married Emory Samuelson Nov. 14, 1937, at Wahoo. He survives. After her marriage she moved to Arlington.

Mrs. Samuelson was a member of the Arlington Community Church, the Fremont Lady’s Bowing League and the Retreads Motorcycle Club.

Other survivors include a brother, Charles Stewart, of Culver City, Calif.; a sister, Ruth Stewart, of Lincoln, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

The Rev. Don Cassiday will officiate Tuesday’s service. Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington. Burial will be at the Sunrise Cemetery in Wahoo.

She married Emory “Shorty” Samuelson November 14, 1937 at Wahoo. After her marriage she moved to Arlington where they resided.

She was a past employee of the Arlington State Bank where she was a bank teller until her retirement

She was a member of Arlington Community Church, the Fremont Women’s Bowling League and the Retreads Motorcycle Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charley and Minnie Dawson Stewart and two sisters, Marguerite Dockweiler and Ruby Kracman.

She is survived by her husband, Emory; a brother, Charles Stewart of Culver City, California; a sister, Ruth Stewart of Lincoln and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Paul Huff, Don Ringle, Bob Potter, Duane Dockweiler, Gary Kracman and Mike Kracman.

Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington is in charge of arrangements.
