Stella West Sanderson, 78, was born May 30, 1909 in Herman.
She was the daughter of Killus Beck West and Veana West Baker.
Stella died December 12, 1987 in San Luis Obispo, California.
Stella grew up and attended school in Herman. She worked for several years at the Clifton Hotel in Blair.
In 1939, she married Charles Sanderson in Omaha.
Several years later, they moved to California to make their home.
Stella is survived by a brother, Woodrow West of Blair; sisters-in-law, Viola West of Herman, and Margie Gregory of San Luis Obispo, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles; her parents, and brothers, Clifford, Kenneth and Julian West and a sister, Alice Grothe.
Services will be held in San Luis Obispo, California.
