DALE ARMAS SANDERS, 52

Services for Rev. Dale Armas Sanders, 52 of Fort Calhoun who died June 20, 1993 of carbon monoxide poisoning were Thursday, June 24 at Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church.

Dale Armas Sanders was born in Los Angeles, California June 2, 1941 to Sulo Armas and Mary Brower Sanders. He received his bachelor of arts degree from Seattle Pacific University, his bachelor of science degree from the University of the State of New York and his masters of divinity from Iliff School of Theology in Denver.

His 25 years of ministry began and ended in Nebraska. He served churches in Minnesota, Iowa, Kansas and did missionary work in Alaska and to the Indians in Montana. He was minister at Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church in Fort Calhoun at the time of his death.

He had authored numerous articles and book reviews for a variety of Christian publications. Music and learning were also important parts of his life and ministry.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary.

He is survived by his son, David, Anchorage, Alaska; his father, Sulo of Westport, Oregon; one brother, Paul of Brownsville, Texas; two sisters, Rosemary Ginther of Astoria, Oregon and Donna Sanders, Portland, Oregon and their families.

Memorials may go to the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church.

Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
