HURLESS M. SAPP, 79, DIED AT HOSPITAL THURSDAY

Hurless M. Sapp, father of Blairites Ray and Dean Sapp, died at Memorial Community Hospital Thursday morning. He had been in failing health for a number of months.

Mr. Sapp was 79 years of age, having been born October 25th, 1895 at Quincy, Ill. As a young man he came to Nebraska, locating in Gage County near Beatrice. He lived there for more than fifty years.

His wife died five years ago and for a time he operated a business in Lincoln, but moved to Blair and the Crowell Memorial Home in 1972.

He is survived by seven children, three daughters and four sons, two of whom live in Blair.

The daughters are Mrs. Irene Brubaker of Fremont; Mrs. Velorum Barnart of Beatrice; and Mrs. Zelma Drake of Barnston.

The sons, all of whom are associated in various phases of the Sapp Brothers businesses, are Ray, of Blair; Lee of Omaha; Bill of Ashland; and Dean of Blair.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the First Christian Church in Beatrice and burial was made beside his wife in the Beatrice Cemetery.
