Marilyn Wilson, 73

Funeral services for Marilyn Wilson, 73, of Blair, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at First Methodist Church in Blair. Interment will be at the Blair Cemetery. Mrs. Wilson died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2000, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Marilyn J. Wilson was born Oct. 23, 1927, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Joseph and Marie (Christiansen) Anderson.

She attended first grade through 10th grade at Clarkson Center School in Dixon County, and graduated from Allen High School in 1944.

She attended Nebraska Wesleyan for two years.

On Dec. 21, 1946, she married George Wilson at Allen. They moved to Schuyler, where she worked as secretary to the Secretary of the State Volunteer Firemen Association.

In 1956, the couple moved to Central City, where she worked in the ASCS office. They moved to Blair in 1963, where she was employed with the Natural Resource District, retiring in 1974.

Mrs. Wilson was a member of First United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, and was active in the Monday Afternoon Club.

She enjoyed many crafts, her grandchildren, and sports activities.

She is survived by her husband, George, a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Christine Wilson of Omaha, five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and nieces and nephews.

Memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church or the Nebraska Wesleyan University Alumni Fund. Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair is in charge of arrangements.
