William Wilson, 73

William Wilson, 73, or rural Blair, died Tuesday, August 29, 2006, in Omaha.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm. Saturday, Sept. 9, in the Fogelstrom Chapel at Immanuel Medical Center, 6757 Newport Avenue (south and east of the hospital) in Omaha. A Masonic service will be included.

William “Bill” Wilson was born June 16, 1933, to Bill and Zora Wilson. He graduated from Lincoln High School and the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He served in the Army Engineer Corps from 1953 to 1954.

Licensed as a professional electrical engineer in six states, he completed his career as the building inspector for Blair and Washington County.

His activities and interests included amateur radio and the Tangier Shrine and Mo-Ri Shrine Club. He played clarinet in various bands and was a storm spotter.

He is survived by his wife, Wila; children: Shirley and Dean Heusel of Wilmington, N.C., Martie Krohn of Homer, Alaska; Paul and Diana Wilson of Chardon, Ohio, and Carol Wilson and Richard Kavanaugh of Olin, Iowa, and their families; a brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. During his illness, all his children, his spouse, and four of his grandchildren visited him, sharing in his love and wit.

Memorials are suggested to the Kennard and Fort Calhoun rescue squads, or the charity of the donor’s choice.

WILSON –William Dale, age 73, of Blair died Aug. 29. He is survived by wife, Wilda, family: Shirley and Dean Heusel, North Carolina, Maartie Kroh, Alaska, Paul and Diana Wilson, Ohio, Carol Wilson and Richard Kavanaugh, Iowa, their families, nieces, nephews, cousin and friends.

He was a retired electrical engineer.

Memorial service will be Saturday, Sept. 9, at Fogelstrom Chapel, 6757 Newport Ave., Omaha. Memorials to Kennard and Ft. Calhoun rescue squads or your favorite charity.
