Wm. Martin Wilson, 89

Services were Tuesday, February 18 at Peace Lutheran Church in Columbus for Wm. Martin Wilson, 89 who died February 14, 1992 at Colonial Manor in Clarkson, Nebraska. Rev. Michael V. Klatt and Rev. Ernest G. Smith officiated. Burial was in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in Columbus.

Wm. Martin Wilson was born July 1, 1902 at Ashland, Nebraska to Emory and Evva Johnson Wilson. He attended Ashland Schools.

He was a diary farmer near Ashland, Herman and Palmer, Nebraska until retiring to Columbus in 1974. He moved to the Colonial Manor in Clarkson May 19, 1990.

He was former school superintendent at Herman and Hill Creek School and held offices in the American Dairy Association. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Columbus.

He married Leona Borgelt September 20, 1933 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Snyder.

He was preceded in death by his parents and step-mother, two sisters and one brother.

He is survived by his wife, Leona of Colonial Manor in Clarkson; two daughters, Carol Bignell of Columbus and Jan (Mrs, Don) Cook of Columbus; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Emory Buskirk, Donald Buskirk, Robert Borgelt, L. E. Greenwald, Wilbur Legband and Eldon Pingree.

Memorials may be directed to Peace Lutheran Church.
