Arthur Wilt was born November 12, 1905 in Bennington to Henry and Alice Cunningham Wilt. He attended school in Bennington/Irvington area.

He farmed in the Omaha and Wahoo area. He later worked as a heavy equipment operator. He moved into Wahoo in 1954.

He married Maude B. Messr November 12, 1934 in Omaha. She preceded him in death November 10, 1971.

He married Joy Kracl October 29, 1973.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Maude; an infant son; a brother, K Lester Wilt and a stepson, Robert.

He is survived by his wife, Joy; his son, Robert Wilt of Omaha; daughters, Margaret Ellerbruch of Denver, Colorado and Sharon (Mrs. Jim) Hollst of Yutan, Nebraska; a step-son, Ed Kracl of Minneapolis, Minnesota; a step-daughter, Judy Kracl of Glenwood, Iowa; a sister, Opal Anderson of Omaha; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
