#1 Faye Louise Sorensen, 72

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 24 at Grace United Methodist Church in Kennard for Faye Louise Sorensen, 72, who died April 21, 1996 at her daughter’s home in rural Blair. Burial will be in the Kennard Cemetery.

Faye Louise Wright Sorensen was born October 12, 1923 to Sam and Hazel Rosenbaum Wright. She was baptized in the Kennard Methodist Church and became a member of the Kennard Methodist Church in May, 1940.

She attended schools in Kennard, Hooper and Davey, Nebraska and she graduated from the Kennard High School. She was a member of the Kennard Alumni.

She was a charter member of the United Methodist Women. She belong to the Top Notch Extension Club, was a charter member of the Kennard American Legion Auxiliary and a member of the Memorial Community Hospital Auxiliary.

She married Lester Sorensen January 24, 1953.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a granddaughter, Heidi; her parents and a sister.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Dan Nixon; two grandsons, Chad Nixon and Cory Nixon; a sister, Virginia Wilkins; a brother, Sam Wright; nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
