Services for former Blair citizen Thursday

Services for Mrs. Mabel G. Wiltse, formerly of Blair, were Wednesday, June 27, at the Godberson Mortuary in Elm Creek, Nebraska. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. at the Calhoun Cemetery in Missouri Valley, Iowa.

Mrs. Wiltse was born in Pleasant Grove, Minnesota June 23, 1892. Her parents were William and Patience (Ball) Wood. She attended school in Pleasant Grove.

She married Austin T. Wiltse in Montrose, Minnesota, and the couple farmed near Bruno, Minnesota until moving to Modale, Iowa in 1920.

They later moved to Blair, and moved to Elm Creek after Mr, Wiltse retired from farming in 1974.

Mrs. Wiltse was preceded in death by her husband in 1983, two sons, Dr. Clarence wiltse and Donald Wiltse, two brothers and two sisters.

Surviving relatives are two daughters, Mrs. Russell (Della) Morrison of Medina, Ohio, and Mrs. Clarence (Delores) Johnson of Elm Creek, 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, one brother and one sister.

Mabel was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Elm Creek. Memorials are suggested to the Elm Creek Emergency Unit and the Good Samaritan Hospice in Kearney, Nebraska.
