Loren D. Winslow Died Suddenly On April 19th

Mr. Loren Deloss Winslow, 86, died suddenly Monday afternoon, April 19th, from a heart attack which he suffered at his home at 1767 Colfax.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the Bendorf Funeral Home. The Rev. John Bauserman officiated. On Thursday, April 21, (today) services will be held at Methodist Church at Burlington Junction, Missouri, where he will be buried in the Ohio Cemetery. The Rev. Cleo Colville will officiate.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Mike, Jay and David Winslow, David and Otis White and Jack Colwell.

Mr. Winslow was born at Skidmore, Missouri on October 7, 1884. He was one of a family of nine children. He came to Blair in 1942 and was employed at the Petersen and Lytle boat works. For the past 25 years he has been employed at the Kelly Ryan Equipment Company.

His wife died in 1954. Seven children and four step-children survive him. They are Maxine Winslow at home; Mrs. Eva Powers of Savannah, Missouri; Mrs. Mary White of Quitman, Missouri; Mrs. Marguerite White of Burlington Junction, Missouri; Mr. Earl Winslow of Uniontown, Penn.; Mrs. Fleda Bayer of Ft. Calhoun; Mrs. Charlotte Pennington, Hasting, Iowa; Mr. Lawrence Winslow of Blair; Mr David Winslow of Grand Island; Mr. Murray Shelton of Missouri Valley, Iowa and Mr. Russell Shelton of Charlotte, North Carolina.

There are also 33 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Roy Lippman of Maryville, Missouri and Mrs. Bertha Cook of Boise, Idaho.
