Mrs. Henry Rix Died Monday

Mrs. Henry Rix, lifetime resident of the Kennard area, died Monday in an Omaha hospital. She was 69 years old.

Mrs. Rix, who was Lena Klotz before her marriage, was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Max Klotz. She was born at Kennard January 19, 1897. She and her husband farmed for many years and the family was well known throughout the entire area.

She is survived by her husband, Henry Rix and by a son and two daughters. The son is Robert Rix of Kennard and the daughters are Mrs. Marilyn Dunkle of Kennard and Marjorie Rix, also of Kennard. A brother, George Klotz, lives at Blair.

Funeral services are being held today, Thursday, at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard with the Rev. Harold Laursen conducting the service. Burial, under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary, will be made in the Kennard cemetery.

Pallbearers were Melvin Rix, Terry Christensen, Merritt Klotz, Warren Nielsen, Lawrence Hansen and William Sass.
