Aged Lady Expires

Mrs. C. M. Christensen Dies After Long Illness

A large number of relatives and friends attended the funeral services for Mrs. C. M. Christensen which were conducted on Sunday afternoon from the Danish Lutheran church. Interment was made in Blair cemetery.

The deceased was born near Odense, Denmark, on the 23rd day of July, 1848, and came to America in 1881. She first located at Lincoln and on the 22nd of September, 1883, she was married to C. M. Christensen of that city. Several years were spent in Lincoln after which the family moved out on a farm near Mason City in Custer county, Nebraska. In 1909 the family moved to Blair where the husband was engaged in business and they have lived here since that time. Mrs. Christensen had not been in the best of health for some time. She was of an industrious nature and was possessed of a cheerful disposition so that all with whom she came in contact with, thought highly of her.

She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. A. C. Debel of this city, and two sons, Holger, of New Orleans, and Anton of New York City. She is also survived by a brother and two sisters living in Denmark.
