Little Betty Marie Kelley whose home has been with the J. M. West family for the last two years, was killed last Thursday evening at the Hines farm east of town known as the Cameron ranch. Betty was playing in the yard near a large bird bath, consisting of a bowl supported by a pedestal and in trying to climb up to look in the bowl, pulled it over upon herself. She only lived a few minutes. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 from the Methodist church, Rev. Norlin conducting the services. Betty was three years old. She leaves to mourn her loss her mother, Mabel Kelley of Omaha, grandmother, who has charge of the Hines home and Mr. and Mrs. J. M. West and family. The families have the sympathy of their many friends.
