Funeral services for Roland “Bud” Wilkins, 66, were held at 2 p.m., Friday, October 23, 1987, at the Grace United Methodist Church in Kennard.

He died October 20, 1987, at University Hospital in Omaha.

Roland was born March 30, 1921, to Cleon and Bessie Reeh Wilkins in Blair. He attended Sutherland School, and later graduated from Blair High School.

He farmed in the Blair area, and for the last 35 years, worked for Blair Manufacturing.

In 1970, he was united in marriage to Virginia Wright at Kennard.

Roland is survived by his wife, Virginia, four children, Mrs. George (Ruth Ellen) Forst of Omaha, Steven Wilkins of North Platte, Mrs. Jerry (Ardith) Scheer of Fremont, and Jennifer Jewett of Kennard, four grandchildren, one great-grandson, his mother, Bessie Wilkins of Blair, and one sister, Mrs. Bill (Nellie Rose) Nielsen of Blair.

Pallbearers were Boyd Lambert, Leroy Lorsch, Arlen Schneider, Mauri Wright, Monte Wright and Sam Wright.

Honorary pallbearers were Howard Cook, Bud Frye, Duane Finch, Neils Poulson, George Ryan and Kelly Ryan.
