George Franklin Harding died at his home near North Platte early last Friday morning after a short illness. The deceased was born at California Junction, Iowa, July 8, 1888, and lived the greater part of his life in and around Blair. He was of an industrious nature and was engaged in farming near Blair before his removal to Grand Island several years ago. The body was brought to Blair late Friday and on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock a short funeral service was held from the Fred Taylor home, the Rev. Carl Bader officiating, after which interment was made in Blair cemetery. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife at Grand Island, his mother, Mrs. A. B. Harding of Grand Island; three sisters, Mrs. Thos. Flynn of Modale, Iowa, Mrs. Fred Taylor of this city and Mrs. Ben McManigal of Gary, Indiana; and four brothers, Dave of Anamosa, Iowa, Broy of Ft. Madison, Iowa and Arthur and J. M. of this city.

FRANK HARDING PASSED AWAY

George Franklin Harding died out at Grand Island last Thursday evening and J.E. Campbell drove out that night and brought the body here, arriving at about 2:30 Friday morning.

The funeral service was held at the home of his sister, Mrs. Fred Taylor, at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon, Rev. Carl G. Bader officiating. Burial was in the Blair cemetery.

Deceased was born over at California Junction, Ia., July 8th, 1888, so was almost 40 years of age. He was married to Miss Tessie Triplett in this city, December 29th, 1905 and farmed most of his life around Blair, except for a short period he was near Flat Willow, Mont., where his father died in January of 1923.

His mother, Mrs. A.B. Harding, went to make her home at the Soldier’s Home at Burkett, near Grand Island, and Frank moved out there to be near her. He is survived by his wife, his mother, three sisters, Mrs. Thos. Flynn; Mrs. Fred Taylor; and Mrs. Ben McManigal; and four brothers, David, Arthur, Broy and J.M. Harding, besides a number of other relatives and many friends.

His death was caused by a cerebral hemorrhage, following a protracted illness. The bereaved family have the sincere sympathy of their many Blair friends.

GEORGE FRANK HARDING

George Frank Harding passed away June 22, 1928 in Grand Island, Nebr., as a result of cerebro-spinal meningitis.

He was born July 8, 1888 at California Junction, Iowa and has spent most of his life around Blair and vicinity.

He married Miss Tessie Triplett at Blair, December 29, 1905. Besides his wife, he is survived by his mother, Mrs. A.B. Harding of Grand Island; three sisters, Mrs. Thomas Flynn and Mrs. Fred Taylor of Blair; and Mrs. Ben McManigal of Gary, Indiana; and four brothers, Dave, Broy, Art and J.M.

The funeral services were held Sunday at the home of his sister, Mrs. Fred Taylor with Rev. Carl Bader officiating. Interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
