Delores A. Berggren, 76

Delores A. Berggren, 76, of Stamford, died on Saturday, February 9, 2013, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.

Graveside services and inurnment will be 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 13, in the Valley View Cemetery at Genoa. There will be no visitation. The family has honored Mrs. Berggren's wish for cremation.

Delores Ann Campain was born April 15, 1936, in St. Edward, the youngest of seven children born to Frank and Katherine (Heltenberg) Campain. She received her primary education and graduated from St. Edward High School with the Class of 1954.

On September 5, 1954, she married Milton Berggren in Columbus. The couple made their home in Washington County for 40 years.

She worked as a meat wrapper for Hinky Dinky in Blair.

Mrs. Berggren enjoyed crocheting, camping, cooking and her flower garden. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Milton of Stamford; daughters, Phyllis A. Nelson and her significant other, Don, of Mesquite, Nev., and Anita L. Shrum of Brady; sister and brother-in-law, Darlene and Harold Potter of Columbus; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Vernetta Harrington, Loretta Meyer, Grace Wilcox and Jane Grosch; and brother, Vearl Campain.

Memorials can be directed to the Stamford Fire and Rescue Group.

The Mitchell Funeral Home in Orleans is in charge of arrangements.
