Fred Wissmann, of Kennard Funeral Today

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. for Fred Wissmann, of Kennard, who died Tuesday at the Blair Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Wissmann was a native of Germany, having been born at the town of Herdenau on June 14, 1889. He was 86 years of age.

He came to America in 1905, arriving at New York and later settling in New Jersey. For thirty years he was a bus driver for the Public Service Transportation Company of New Jersey. Upon his retirement in 1963, he left the east and moved to Kennard, which has been his home since.

In May, 1930, he was married, but the couple had no children. His wife, Erna, survives.

Funeral services will be held at the Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard and burial will be made in the Kennard Cemetery. Rev. Robert Albers, of Blair, will conduct the service and the Bendorf Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Hunter, Byron Lauritsen, Bill and Lyle Rosenbaum, Carl Schneider and Harlan Christensen.
