Services for Gertrude Erna Wittenburg, 86 of Cave Junction, who died June 21, 1995 were held at the Illinois Valley Funeral Home at Grand Pass, Oregon.

Gertrude Wena Wittenburg was born December 21, 1908 in Norfolk, Nebraska. In August, 1927, she married Edwin Wittenburg in Hoskins, Nebraska.

She was a cook all her life and retired as cafeteria manager of the school district in Torrance, California.

She and her husband moved to Cave Junction in March, 1969.

Before moving to California, they owned and operated Ed’s Place in Arlington, Nebraska.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Fred Klug, Herbert Klug and Herman Klug.

She is survived by her husband, Ed and several nieces and nephews.
