HENRY C. RIX DIED AT HIS HOME NEAR KENNARD

Henry C. Rix, well known longtime farmer of the Kennard area, died at his home Wednesday, May 1st. He was 71 years old.

Mr. Rix, who had been a farmer all of his life, was born in Douglas county, Nebraska March 13, 1897. He came to Washington county many years ago.

Mr. Rix’s wife had preceded him in death, but he is survived by a son and two daughters, all living in the Kennard area. The son is Robert Rix, of Kennard and the daughters are Mrs. Fred (Marilyn) Dunkle and Miss Marjorie Rix, both of Kennard.

A brother Herman Rix lives near Bennington and another brother Harry lives at Monroe, Nebraska. There are six grandchildren.

Funeral services were held last Saturday, May 4th at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard with the Rev. Arden Dorn conducting the service. Burial was made in the Kennard cemetery under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary.

Pallbearers were Lawrence Hansen, Melvin Rix, Terry Christensen, Warren Nielsen, Merritt Klotz and Fred Long.
