Marian L. Wolf, 62

Services for Marian L. Wolf, 62 of Arlington, who died September 18, 1993 at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County in Fremont are 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 21 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church north of Arlington. Rev. Michael L. Rogers is officiating. Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery east of Winslow.

Marian L. Wolf was born August 2, 1931 on the family farm in Burt County to Howard and Emma Benjes Stuenkel. She graduated from Hooper, Nebraska High School and then taught school. She also attended Midland College where she earned her teaching certificate.

She married Berkely Wolf at Immanuel Lutheran Church of rural Hooper February 6, 1953. They lived in Fremont until 1960 when they moved to an acreage northeast of Arlington where they lived at the time of her death.

She was a bookkeeper for the family corporation, Arlington Bulk Milk Service.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of rural Arlington where she had been a Sunday School teacher for many years and was also a member of its Lutheran Women’s League. She was a member of the Town & Country Extension Club.

She had done volunteer work for the St. Paul’s Lutheran School Library. For many years she served as the superintendent of the domestic art department of the Washington County Fair.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Lila McGinnis.

She is survived by her husband, Berkely; three daughters, Jane (Mrs. Jim) Keathley of Overland Park, Kansas, Peggy (Mrs. Randy) Anderson of Crofton and Karen (Mrs. Mark) Benson of Bellevue; two sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Shelley Wolf of Lincoln and Bill and Lori Wolf of Arlington and eight grandchildren.

Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont is in charge of arrangements for the services.

ARLINGTON---Marian L. Wolf, 62, of rural Arlington died Saturday, Sept. 18, 1993, at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County.

Marian Stuenkel was born Aug. 2, 1931, on the family farm in Burt County. She graduated from Hooper High School and later taught school. She attended Midland Lutheran College and received a teaching certificate. She lived in Fremont until 1960 and then moved to rural Arlington. She was a bookkeeper for the family corporation, Arlington Bulk Milk Service.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of rural Arlington where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years and was a member of the church’s Lutheran Women’s League. She was a member of Town and Country Extension Club, was a volunteer at St. Paul’s Lutheran School library and served as a superintendent of the domestic art departments of the Washington County Fair.

Stuenkel married Berkely Wolf Feb. 6, 1953, in rural Hooper. He survives.

Other survivors include three daughters, Jane Keathley of Overland Park, Kan., Peggy Anderson of Crofton and Karen Benson of Bellevue; two sons, Randy of Lincoln and Bill of Arlington; and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

The funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, north of Arlington. The Rev. Michael Rogers will officiate. Visitation will be 6 to 9 tonight at Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont and 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, east of Winslow.

Memorials have been established to St. Paul’s Lutheran School and Arlington Rescue Squad.
