Services held For Brother of Fort Calhoun Woman

Funeral services were Saturday at Moser Memorial Chapel in Omaha for Harvard B. Wollen, 72, of Fremont who died May 25, 1983, in Memorial Hospital of Dodge County Annex of heart failure.

The Rev. Merle Zook of First United Methodist Church in Fremont officiated. Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery at Elkhorn.

Harvard B. Wollen was born in Washington, Nebraska, on September 2, 1910. He farmed near Bennington for 41 years and had lived in Fremont since 1977.

He married Verna Ohm on January 15, 1936. She survives.

Other survivors include sons, Lanny and Kim both of Omaha; and daughters, Mrs. Merrill (Sierra Sue) Mueller of Mead and Mrs. Verlene Winkler of Omaha. Brothers, Louis Wollen of Fremont and Bud Wollen of Hayward, California; sisters, Mrs. Bill (Mertie) Kobs of Fort Calhoun and Mrs. Cliff (Roma) Merriweather of Fremont; and seven grandchildren also survive.

A memorial fund has been established to the Elkhorn and Bennington Fire and Rescue Department.
