Former Herman Resident Buried in Tekamah

Margaret Elidyce Wood, a native of Herman and a resident there for many years, was buried at Tekamah last Monday following funeral services at the Hamel and Peck Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wood was born at Herman July 11, 1922 and grew up there. She graduated from the Herman High School in 1940.

She was married to Pern Elgah Wood at Sabetha, Kansas, on November 21, 1947. She was baptized in the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on February 9, 1958.

She died at an Omaha hospital on December 19, 1975 at the age of 53.

She is survived by her husband, Pern, and four children, Lewis Wood of Fremont, Mrs. Joan Benson of Fremont, Mrs. Nell Howell of Herman and Paul Wood of Lincoln. There are three grandchildren.

Five brothers and a sister also survive. The sister is Mrs. Nina Determan of Bettendorf, Iowa. The brothers are Arthur Ray of Kiamath Falls, Oregon; Lyle Ray of Blair, Dale Ray of Fremont, Lee Ray of Omaha and Robert Ray of Blair.
