Emma C. Woodard, 88

Emma C. (Nohrenberg) Woodard, 88, died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2004 at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in Bellevue.

Funeral services were held Monday, Feb 9 at Brewer-Korisko Chapel, 5108 “F” St., Omaha. Rev. Ron Perry of Hillcrest Nursing Home officiated. Interment was in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Omaha.

Emma C. Woodard was born July 16, 1915 in Blair, to Hans Henry and Anna (Klingenberg) Nohrenberg. She attended school in the Blair area.

Emma married Walter L. Woodard on March 23, 1936. In 1986, they celebrated 50 years of marriage. She spent all of her married life in the Omaha area as a housewife and mother.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Christina Woodard, Douglas D. and Julie Woodard; daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn M. and Dean H. Winther, all of Omaha; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, two sisters Laura Lorsch, Blair and Marie Briggs, Aurora, Colo.; a sister-in-law, Barbara Nohrenberg, Blair; six nieces and four nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Walter, two sons Norman Dale and Ralph Warren, brother Peter J. Nohrenberg and brothers-in-law, Wayne Briggs and Emil L. Lorsch.
