Hazel Wright was born on a farm near Kennard on July 13, 1898, to John and Ruth Rosenbaum.

She grew to womanhood in this area.

On May 9, 1917 she was united in marriage to Sam Wright. To this union 4 children were born. Doris Ruth (who passed away during infancy), Virginia Jean, Faye Louise and Sam Jr.

Sam and Hazel continued to reside in Kennard until 1928, when they moved to Hooper, Nebraska, which was their home until 1936.

They resided in Davey, Nebraska until returning to Kennard in 1939 and continued to live there.

Hazel was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and a Charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Her husband, Sam, preceded her in death, April 8, 1964.
