Dennis C. 'Denny' Hilgenkamp, 66

Dennis C. "Denny" Hilgenkamp, 66, of Arlington, died Saturday, February 9, 2013, at A.J. Merrick Manor in Fremont.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church near Arlington. Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Thursday with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington. Visitation will continue at the church on Friday one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in St. Paul's Cemetery near Arlington.

Dennis C. "Denny" Hilgenkamp was born January 1, 1947, in Fremont to Clarence and Dorothea (Scheer) Hilgenkamp.

He was a 1965 graduate of Arlington High School.

He lived in the Arlington area all his life and was a dairy farmer.

On September 2, 1966, he married Joanne Eddy at St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Mr. Hilgenkamp was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Laymen's League and served on various committees at the church.

He enjoyed four-wheeling/ATV, bowling and was an avid Husker and Yankee fan. He belonged to three bowling leagues at 30 Bowl and was secretary for his Tuesday night league.

He was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 200 in Fremont and was a former member of the Arlington Jaycees.

He is survived by his wife, Joanne of Arlington; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Tami Hilgenkamp of Arlington; daughters, Heather Hilgenkamp of Omaha and Brenda Hilgenkamp of Whitesboro, Texas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Melvin and Dianne Hilgenkamp and Darrell and Arlene Hilgenkamp, all of Arlington; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Faith; and a great-grandson.

Memorials may be directed to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or to the donor's choice.
